Today’s healthcare consumers have more power and influence than ever before. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated this shift, pushing healthcare providers to adapt swiftly to ensure continued patient care. Digital care became essential almost overnight, with telehealth transforming from a niche service into the primary solution for noncritical appointments.

Now, consumers demand transparent, predictable, and mobile-friendly experiences. However, many healthcare organisations are struggling to meet these evolving needs. Despite having more options for allocating limited marketing budgets, many continue to rely on familiar, traditional channels—such as  TV, radio, and magazine ads—paired with a generic digital presence, failing to engage today’s empowered and tech-savvy audience effectively.

the challenge

Patient Care Locally (PCL) are a not-for-profit, community interest company who support the NHS to deliver healthcare within the community and in doing so, helps to address health inequality in society.
PCL wanted to speak to two distinct audiences : patients (for whom they would provide healthcare services – in particular immunisation and vaccination) and healthcare professionals (with whom they would facilitate those services).    Therefore a dual approach to market was required, but which had a clearly identifiable brand look, feel and voice.

THE SOLUTION

TASK created a new visual and editorial identity for PCL.  This was incorporated into a website design, creating a clear structure and guiding the two audience groups to the information relevant to them.

We also launched PCL across various social media platforms, providing content which engaged  and encouraged patients in taking an active role within their own healthcare.  We also ensured they have an active LinkedIn presence, speaking to contemporaries within the healthcare sector.
